Foaming Fury operates white water rafting tours near Cairns in Far North Queensland, Australia. This mountainous coastline has fast, wild rivers that plunge through deep rainforest gorges on their way to the Coral Sea, and provides an ideal location for white water rafting.

We offer something for everyone, from full day trek/raft tours on grade 3-4 rapids to half day family trips on the gentler grade 1-2 rapids. BARRON RIVER HALF DAY RAFTING
FOAMING FURY offers up to three half day departures depending on water release from the power station.



- Travel 20 minutes North West of Cairns to the Barron River
- Let our guide entertain you in eight man rafts
- Spend two hours paddling rapids up to Grade 3 (four hour round trip)
- Dam controlled river, allowing consistent supplies of water all year round.

FAMILY FUN ON THE RIVER
This is the most exciting family rafting tour operating daily on the Barron River. Just 20 minutes from Cairns and 40 minutes from Port Douglas.

Experience the thrills of paddling rapids graded 1 - 2. A high guide to passenger ratio ensures safety is first class with an emphasis on having a fun day.

Iced water and snacks are served while you enjoy a relaxing swim in the warm waters of the Barron River.



Enjoy paddling around Lake Placid viewing the wildlife and feeding the native fish. Dense rainforest surrounds the lake, providing outstanding scenery.

RUSSELL RIVER FULL DAY ADVENTURE
Just an hour south of Cairns, Foaming Fury has created a rafting adventurers dream on the Russell River.



Your extreme rafting experience starts with a trek through the dense rainforest of the Russell River valley, carrying inflatable 2 man sports kayaks with you (the lightweight kayaks are deflated and the packs are share carried to the launch point).

Along the way, you will learn about the rainforest, see crystal clear rivers, marvel at breathtaking scenery and of course experience the exciting rapids of the wild Russell River.

With 3 Full Hours of rafting from grade 1 to 4, there is something for everyone on this river. A sumptuous BBQ Lunch on the edge of the river is also provided.
